Why Can't I Add a Member to My Buddy List?

When I am in the Buddy List section, I type in my friend's name in the search box and click search.  My friend's name does not come up. 

Find the member number of your friend.  Do you already have that member number listed in your Buddy List?  If so, remove them from the Buddy List and then do your search.

When would this happen?

Many facilities re-use member numbers.  Consider this, member number 1000 belongs to Jack Johnson and Jack is in my Buddy List.  Jack moves and Mark Thompson now has member number 1000.  We cannot add member number 1000 to your Buddy List a second time.  Remove Jack Johnson and THEN add Mark Thompson.
